I began my eleven months in the 5th Maintenance Battalion after a month in the replacement company in Long Bihn.  My personnel file was lost so I sat around the replacement company for a month.  When I was in-processing at the headquarters in Qui Nhon I was asked if I could type and wound up being assigned there.  It was the combined Directorate of Maintenance and the Headquarters for the 5th Maintenance Battalion.  I was there for seven months before transferring to the Main Support Company where I worked in the Orderly Room. .............Case Nelson
