The following are excerpts from e-mails sent to me by John T Brown III

We had three APCs and a twin 88. We actually had more firepower than any combat unit around. During TET our M88s were used to clean out Qui Nhon. We had mounted four 50s on each one and they pretty much decimated the VC that were in Qui Nhon. Several guys were decorated for bravery during TET. The CC&S company got hit very badly while I was there and lost 6 men.

While I was there a warrant officer from transportation battalion and I designed and built in the MSC shops the "Bounty Hunter" , a five ton with quad fifties mounted on the back which was used for convoy security. It was the model for several others which were built in Vietnam.
